The Walking Hub Mortimer Challenge - The Walking Hub

On Saturday 15th October from 09-4:30 p.m visit The Walking Hub for freebies, discounts, demo’s on trail shoes and tips on how to use poles for running and walking.

On Sunday 16th October at 7:00 a.m. take advantage of their transport out to Ludlow and join The Walking Hub as they take part in their new challenge to complete The Mortimer Trail in a day. Starting in the historic town of Ludlow in Shropshire, participants will independently walk/run their way along the entire 30 mile Mortimer Trail to The Walking Hub in Kington, Herefordshire.  Mostly off-road the trail follows the high ground with glorious views, varied terrain and challenging hills.  Although way marked, good navigation skills and a map are essential including a headlamp as the days are short at this time of year.  Simply record your journey on Strava or similar app, submit to The Walking Hub and they will post your results up on their webpage.

No booking necessary.  It’s important to note that this ‘event’ is totally unsupported and participants undertake at their own risk.  Just contact Ali if you would like transport to Ludlow Sunday 16th.  And of course if you can’t make this date The Walking Hub Mortimer Challenge will be here for you all year long.
