Scenic Spots
Take a tour of our favourite scenic spots. We can promise jaw-dropping views, dramatic scenery, idyllic rolling hills, a majestic river and shades of green as far as the eye can see.
The Wye Valley
With its breathtaking views and dramatic scenery, the Wye Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In fact, English tourism was born here, in the pretty market town of Ross-on-Wye. The Wye Valley is the ultimate destination for outdoor activities, including walking, cycling, canoeing and paddleboarding.
The Golden Valley
A magical place, the Golden Valley has an undeniably special atmosphere. Castle ruins, lively villages, unique churches and the Neolithic Arthur’s Stone are dotted in amongst its idyllic rolling hills and high peaks. And the market town of Hay-on-Wye lies at the northern end.
Hills of Herefordshire
Dramatic highlands frame our county including the Black Mountains, the Malvern Hills and the flanks of the Wye Valley around Symonds Yat - all of them offer soul-stirring vistas. Inbetween, a host of ‘easy peaks’ offer 360-degree views across a patchwork of orchards, woods and meadows.
