Listen as the glorious interior of Hereford Cathedral resounds with thrilling music from the choral masters: Chilcott, Bach, and Tavener. Chilcott’s Mass for Peace and Reconciliation, an expressive, contemplative work by one of the UK’s leading living composers, couples moments of peace and prayerfulness with outbursts of vital energy. This powerful premiere is presented alongside the achingly beautiful Funeral Ikos, a profound work of deep faith and conviction, and Jesu, meine Freude, one of the best-loved works from incomparable choral master JS Bach.
The concert takes place in Hereford Cathedral from 7.30 - 9.25 pm.
