Ross Walking Festival 2024

Ross-on-Wye

A programme of 27 interesting and varied walks exploring our glorious local landscapes, as well as special themes and activities.

From 2 to 10 miles, our walks range from gentle to moderate and feature plenty of picnic opportunities! 

Highlights include:

* Early morning bird-spotting along the River Wye
* Iconic horseshoe bends and a boutique brewery (including a tasting!)
* Viewing 12 counties from the heights of May Hill
* Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Herefordshire Trail with a beautiful riverside route
* Climbing the Skirrid for breathtaking views & a medieval chapel
* A walk and talk with a regenerative farmer
* Forest steam train ride, an ancient woodland walk and a pub lunch
* Orchard stroll, alpacas and a cream tea
* Wye walk and a lunch cruise
* Fossil-hunting in the Longhope Valley
* Fields and lanes of the 1920s Flower Patch books and a trip to Wye Valley Flowers
 

Dogs welcome on a selection of the walks.

 

Admission / Ticket Information

Walks are only £5 each (under 16s go free) 
Cream tea walks are £10 
Any additional activities are payable on the day e.g. train, river cruise - details available in our online programme.
