Basics of slipcasting with Lucy Blackley - CUP Ceramics
Join our guest teacher Lucy Blackley to learn the beginners ins & outs of slipcasting. In this two hour session you will learn what the slipcasting process is, how it works, and how to approach it yourself (in your own studio, or in the CUP studio). There will be the necessary theory dotted between practical, hands on learning; where one part and multiple part moulds will be used. You will get experience using equipment and materials not typically used in the CUP studio. The day will take you through pouring, de-moulding, and finishing off two cast objects.
This course is perfect for those wanting to expand their knowledge and experiences of the potting world, and for those wanting to begin their slip casting learning journey.
