Moth spotting in the orchard
About This Event
Join us for a magical evening of moth spotting in the orchard! There are over 2,500 different species of moth to be found in the UK, compared to just 59 species of butterfly and we want to find out how many are hidden in the hedgerows and trees of Artistraw Cider! Tom and I have been leading moth workshops at UK festivals for around 7 years and are completely obsessed by these stunningly beautiful creatures. We can’t wait to share our knowledge with you! We’ll also be joined by some fellow lepidopterist friends who will be on hand to introduce you to some of the orchard's most intriguing inhabitants. We'll also have a number of moth books that you'll be able to look through if you want to try and ID some moths for yourself. Leafing through the books whilst out in the field is a great way to start learning the poetic names of these amazing creatures and we'll be on hand to help verify your finds and answer your questions.

Tickets are £12.50 each and are available to purchase from our webshop. No tickets will be available on the door.
It will be a late night but we welcome lepidopterists of all ages! The ticket price is flat rate.
