Inside St Leonard’s Church in Yarpole, rural Herefordshire, is the award-winning Yarpole Community Shop and Post Office with the Gallery Café upstairs in the rafters. The Bell Inn, Yarpole is also community owned. St Leonard’s Church boasts one of the few separate ancient Bell towers in the country, and is free to enter. With the Mortimer Trail and Historic Black and White Village Trail close by and National Trust properties Croft Castle and Berrington Hall within a few minutes drive, there is plenty to see and do in the Yarpole area. Yarpole Community Shop benefits from free parking and accessible toilets. We are open Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am until 1pm. Why not visit the Post Office for cash withdrawals and travel money, open Monday-Saturday 9-12, and beat the queues! In addition to everyday grocery and household items, the shop has a selection of local fruit, vegetables, cheese and meat; confectionary; a wide choice of greetings cards and locally made crafts and gifts. Our delicious fresh artisan bread from local suppliers is delivered Monday to Friday: a range of brown and white breads, corn bread, beer bread and sourdough. We can also supply speciality breads on request such as chorizo and goats cheese Focaccia; pesto and walnut Whirl Bread; sunflower and blue cheese Campaillou; Welsh cheese and leek Twist Bread, to name a few. Fresh maple pecan buns, Danish pastries, cinnamon whirls, cake slices and loaf cakes are also delivered weekly.
