Who is daft enough to buy a pub during a global pandemic? We are!

The Three Horseshoes was owned by the Abell family (Richard’s great, great, great grandfather) as far back as 1860 – it has seen many changes over the years but one thing you can still look forward to is good food and a warm welcome.

Richard was born in Little Cowarne and has lived here all his life so it was our local when it came up for sale. We have never done anything like this before but we jumped at the chance especially as our son Jamie has always wanted to work in the hospitality industry and it came with a fantastic chef!

We have created a pub which is everything we would look for – a warm welcome, a happy atmosphere and great food created from local produce. There is a beautiful beer garden with a barbecue area and pizza oven and space in the adjoining field for a marquee if required

Our restaurant has oak flooring, a stone wall and beams across the ceiling and we have a conservatory which can accommodate a private party for up to 20. With a large bar area for those wanting a drink with friends, a pool room and two bed and breakfast rooms we have plenty to offer

We are open all day Thursday to Sunday for a meal, a drink or coffee and cake baked by Grandma – all served with a smile!
