Ross on Wye Cider & Perry Co. Ltd.
Ross on Wye
The orchards and drinks of Ross on Wye Cider & Perry take you on a journey through time. Come and visit us to try our range of more than fifty ciders and perries and to explore the orchards where the fruit is grown. We produce handcrafted, full juice, wild yeast fermented aspirational cider.
Our family have been running the farm since 1930, with a focus on orcharding since the mid 1980s. Founded in 2003, Ross on Wye Cider & Perry is now a national name in cidermaking, winning the 2019 BBC Food & Farming Awards for 'Best Drinks Producer.'
Every year we make anywhere from 100 to 200 different barrels of cider and perry, each with a unique story to tell. We grow over 100 varieties of apples and more than 30 varieties of pears in our orchards, and wherever possible we produce a single variety drink from that fruit. This gives you the opportunity to explore a world of flavour unlike any other.
Based in Peterstow, just outside of Ross on Wye town, our tranquil orchards are family friendly and open throughout the summer. We run a simple campsite in the main 'Old Orchard.'
Our favourite thing is to take groups of 4 or more around on a Guided Tour & Tasting - exploring the orchards, discussing the history of the cidery, discovering the unique characteristics of different trees, and extensively sampling from our favourite ciders and perries.
