Lower Hope Gardens

Lower Hope, facing south and west, is an outstanding colourful garden with wonderful seasonal variations from Spring to Autumn.  Impeccably manicured lawns embrace extensive herbaceous borders, rose gardens and walks.  Water plays a large feature through the whole garden, making best use of several natural springs and streams and incorporating bog gardens. The whole intensive horticultural experience of around 5 acres leads into a woodland area with azaleas and rhododendrons predominant, which in turn shows the visitor into the lime walk avenue and ultimately to a large lake, landscaped with wild flowers and bulbs.  Beyond this is the main farmland where award winning pedigree Hereford Cattle and Suffolk Sheep graze.
