The Hostelrie

The Hostelrie is an 18th Century pub with rooms located in the tranquil village of Goodrich in the beautiful wye valley, close to Symonds Yat, the Forest of Dean & the market town of Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire. This unique turreted building is packed with character. Recently purchased by Daniel & Katherine Balanovsky in early 2021, The Hostelrie is a traditional pub & restaurant with a large beer garden. Offering 8 letting bedrooms it is perfectly located to explore the fantastic local area & all it has to offer. The kitchen at Hostelrie offers several menus, all of which are planned & executed by chef patron Daniel Balanovsky. From breakfast through to the last dessert at dinner the food is made in house, from fresh, to order & represents Daniel’s philosophy of using ingredients as local as possible & to showcase simple dishes packed with loads of flavour. The menus change on a frequent basis according to the availability & seasonality of produce. With more than ten drinks on tap, you can always find something to quench your thirst, from local ciders & ales to international pilsner & an interesting range of bottled beers & soft drinks. Landlady Katherine has a passion for wine & has a well chosen wine list with at least 12 wines being available by the glass. The pub itself has been recently refurbished enhancing the gothic windows, original beams & natural light. The bar top has been custom made from solid oak. The pub is dog friendly with classic pub furniture & a log burner.
