A pretty, stone-built 18th century coach house in the grounds of the owners' home, in the quaint village of Goodrich between Ross on Wye and Monmouth. Just off the Wye Valley walk and close to the river Wye. Plenty to see and do. Walks from the door, canoe hire, fishing etc.
Beautifully restored with a very well equipped kitchen area (dishwasher, electric hob and oven, fridge with icebox, microwave), this superb Herefordshire cottage offers quality accommodation set on the first floor, with outstanding features such as the fabulous original wooden floor, exposed beams and a cosy wood burner. The spacious open plan living area has contemporary furnishings, a TV with Freetoview and facility for Netflix and Amazon (guests own login necessary) and offers bright, airy accommodation. The dining area is also in this space and overlooks the garden and Coppet Hill. The romantic king-size bedroom has lofty oak beams and an en-suite shower room. Linen and towels provided.
The woodland garden with patio or the sunny garden to the side of the property are perfect places to relax after a day exploring the area's delights; Goodrich Castle is a short walk away as are two pubs serving good food. The river Wye is less than half mile away. The market town of Ross-on-Wye, spectacular Symonds Yat, Ledbury, Malvern, Hereford & Gloucester, the Black Mountains and the Royal Forest of Dean are easily accessible. The fabulous local shop Woods of Whitchurch in Whitchurch sells local produce.
