1. Get your Cute Fix
Easter is synonymous with fluffy chicks and rabbits. So, make your way to Kington Small Breeds for cuteness overload! It's home to a wonderful collection of miniature, rare and friendly creatures. Over the holiday you'll see baby chicks, goat kids and lambs and even have the chance to watch owls hatch in the new Owlet Room. Feed the sheep and miniature ponies, pet the hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits, before relaxing in the recently revamped Tea Room. Picnics also welcome.

2. Set sail with Vikings
Head to the high seas with Freydis and her son Snorri on a Viking adventure, brought to life through storytelling, animation, and live music, aimed at ages 8+. Feel part of the crew as they discover they’re not alone in this strange new land and come face to face with ghosts, monsters and...wild gooseberries. And follow Snorri as he confronts an ancient spirit set on revenge and learns the truth about himself.

3. Tackle the Tower!
Take the 218 steps to the top of Hereford Cathedral Tower and receive a certificate in recognition of your energetic endeavours! It's quite the challenge so one for adventurers aged 8+, accompanied by an adult. Climb the spiral staircase, visit the lantern gallery and tour the walkway before heading to the bell-ringing chamber. Up on the roof, spot local landmarks and the River Wye, as well as the Black Mountains and the Malvern Hills. Afterwards, there's time to visit the Mappa Mundi and the Chained Library exhibition

4. Travel to Narnia
Follow the trail around the country park and arboretum, listening to clues as you go to help the characters from the ‘The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe’ to find their missing items. Upon completion, claim a special bookmark. Visit on 3 April to enjoy free Narnia themed activities in the woods from 10am to 12pm. Make a lion mask, craft the white witch's wand or rustle up Lucy's special cordial.

5. Step into Kington Walking Festival
Tire out the teens at Kington Spring Walking Weekend! There's a range of guided walks from 3 to 15 miles so simply pick one or two that suit your pace. Highlights include the chance to learn about local wildlife on the Wild Birds of Hergest Ridge walk, whilst the Llanfihangel & Cwm Kesty circular crosses the border into Wales, traversing a magical landscape with remote moorland and hills.

6. Embark on a Historical Quest
Roam through history on an adventure quest through the grounds of Goodrich Castle. Search for clues and challenges to help you track down the Easter eggs. There's a fine reward: a chocolate treat from Love Cocoa and an adventurer’s certificate. Along the way, you'll also discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race, before calling in at the cafe for a well-earned slice of cake.

7. Bike around the Black & White Villages
Ride around the county's most photogenic ‘black and white villages’ over 2 or 3 days. Pause for riverside picnics, delicious ice creams and pub lunches and be sure to explore the local art galleries and tea rooms too. There's a skatepark and park to enjoy as well as circular walks too. Try the full4 2-mile route or opt for the scenic shortcut for a 27-mile round-trip. If you're less keen on cycling, then drive the route instead.

6. Hunt for Treasure
Wind around Eastnor castle and grounds in hot pursuit of clues! The Coronation Chicken Treasure Hunt celebrates Easter and looks forward to a new monarch being coronated. Hand in your entry to receive a chocolate treat. Then it's time to explore the Knight’s Maze, Junior Obstacle Course, Adventure Playground, Woodland Play Area and Rope swings.

9. Forage for a Feast
Join the foraging team for a 2.5 hour walk to discover edible delights and learn how to identify poisonous species too. Along the way, you'll stop for some pre-prepared wild food treats. At the end, you'll create a meal based on what you've found. After the course, you will be emailed course notes to help you remember everything on future walks.

10. Create a Pot!
Join the team at CUP Ceramics to design, create and decorate your creations using techniques taught during the session. The fee includes materials, glaze and kiln firing.
