Golden Valley Llamas

Golden Valley Llamas

Come llama trekking from a farm in the foothills of the Herefordshire Black Mountains on the Welsh border.  You will be delighted to meet the llamas who will take a great interest in you.  The llamas are fed before you halter them.  We're not daft - we get you to groom our llamas for us - which is a lovely bonding experience.  Then we set off at a llama's gentle pace down the hill to Ewyas Harold and up to the Common.  You will walk with the llama on the end of a loose lead rope.  If a llama was describing the experience you would be told there are plenty of stops - to admire the view or to pose for photos - and you will enjoy the gentle three-mile stroll with spectacular views down the Monnow Valley and over the hills of Wales and the rolling lands of the Herefordshire Plain. Returning to the farm the llamas will nibble from the shoots of a hedge and then ask to be fed cereal as a reward. Adults and children from 12 upwards may have sole charge of a llama and those younger than 12 will share a llama with an adult.  For youngsters, two ropes are tied to the halter.  Child and parent enjoy the experience together. Each trek is exclusive and parties are not mixed. The highlight of your Herefordshire holiday, whether staying on the farm in one of our cottages, or as a day visitor
