Borderlines Film Festival
31 Watling Street, Leintwardine SY7 0LWDescription
Celebrating 10 years in 2012, Borderlines Film Festival, the UK’s largest and most distinctive rural film festival, is one of Herefordshire’s most eagerly awaited cultural events with well over 14,000 attendances this year.
For two weeks each spring Borderlines brings the finest films from all over the world to venues of every size and shape throughout Herefordshire, Shropshire and the Marches. Glass and steel arts centres, assembly rooms, village halls, churches, the back room of a pub and even a vintage moviebus are the settings for wonderful evenings of cinema that delight, thrill and bring together its audiences year after year.
To mark its 10th anniversary, Borderlines will be extending its activities to even more special and exotic locations. For the first time it will be screening films outdoors at the elegantly proportioned pink sandstone Berrington Hall, in one of the historic World War 2 hangars at Shobdon Airfield, in the half-timbered Great Barn at the jewel-like Hellens near Much Marcle and in the fabulous unique Vintage Moviebus at the Big Apple. Don’t miss what promises to be a unique and truly unforgettable series of entertainments in extraordinary surroundings in our May Festival.
Main festival: Friday 24 February to Sunday 11 March 2012
May Festival: Friday 4 to Sunday 20 May 2012
