Description
Wye Valley – period holiday cottages in stunning riverside setting, set in 80 acres beside River Wye. Fishing also available.
In the shadow of Symonds Yat rock, this 15th century farmstead, set in 80 acres of wild pastureland, lies at the mouth of a beautiful gorge beside the River Wye. There are six holiday cottages each with their own individual charm and character sleeping between 2-7 people. Our seventh cottage Parkwood sleeping 6 is a beautiful Victorian era cottage located 2-miles further up the valley from Mainoaks, in a secluded setting overlooking the River Wye.
We offer guests salmon & coarse fishing, while nearby canoeing, bicycle tracks and other outdoor activities make this a perfect location for both romantic and family breaks.
Located in one of the most rural parts of the Wye Valley, these cottages are nevertheless excellently placed to allow you to go and explore and enjoy the Welsh borders, Forest of Dean and their surrounding castles and villages. The historic towns of Monmouth & Ross-on-Wye are six miles away and the local village of Goodrich, just five minutes drive.
Come and enjoy a well deserved break away from it all.
We are also running a winter season special offer see link for information www.mainoaks.info/winteroffer.html
