With its classic Georgian architecture, 24 individually designed suites and bedrooms (including an 8-bedroom townhouse just moments from the hotel) and pretty terraced garden leading down to the old castle moat, Castle House has a very relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The Castle Restaurant and Castle Bistro offer some of the best dining in Herefordshire and are the domain of one of England’s premier female chefs, Claire Nicholls, who sources her ingredients from local farmers and artisan producers across the Marches, including the hotel’s own farm.
